Shards of War Sentinel Tier list for Solo Queue
The following Tier List is the second (or third actually) iteration. I spend some time in trying to figure out which format is the best for this project, which terms are the best and which categories will offer the best help for new and veteran players to pick the right Sentinel for Solo Queue games.
I can’t and I shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel and chose as a consequence to use existent terms from other Mobas (League of Legends & Dota) to define the categories for this tier list as well. It should help making the categories easier understandable and accessible.
Tank – High sustain, CC, Initiate potential.
ADC – Attack damage based Sentinels. Good for steady damage against other Sentinels and objectives. Lane push and minion wave clear potential. Advantages of ADCs are steady damage output. Damage is usually easier to apply but makes you usually less mobile (you move slower while shooting). The bigger the range the stronger the Sentinel usually is. Potential Teamfight initiation capabilities are desired.
APC – Sentinels who apply damage mainly through their abilities and not their auto attacks. Wave clear, AoE damage, CC potential and high range. APC Sentinels are usually a little bit more mobile and not as static as ADCs, because you can cast and move between cooldown cycles. Missing an ability will impact your DPS negatively. Potential Teamfight initiation capabilities are desired.
Support – Sustain providing Sentinels (heal & shield). Utility for (Buff & Debuff) the team and CC potential.
SPC – Wave clear, sustain, escape mechanism, low risk taking jungle drones.
